Too little time…

Too little money? We went into our local library today as it’s my son’s favourite place in the whole world apart from Twin Lakes and his ummi’s house While he looked for ‘boys stuff’, I browsed the food and drink section. There’s a decent section although not many recent ones. I’ve heard about A Nice Cup of Tea through various means in the last few months but never actually seen a copy in any of the local bookshops so I picked that up. I also borrowed a low-fat book by Anisley Harriot (my grandma’s favourite TV chef). So expect something from that one in the coming days.

I also treated myself to Nigel Slater’s The Kitchen Diaries, which I simply had to have based on the gorgeous hardback presentation. I like a cookery book with bits that I can read in it apart from the recipes and as you have probably guessed from the title, this one is in diary format. Oh yes and it was half price!

So while time does seem to be in short supply around here, I can’t wait to have a look at all three of these.
